Stimulus - Terrorism, 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The stimulus I have chosen are the suicide attacks that took place in New York on the 11th of September 2001. It is an event that brought the collapse of the 2 buildings (North and South towers) of the World Trade Centre, causing chaos and shock to spread throughout the nation. 4 planes were hijacked on that day and were aimed at mass destruction.  These attacks were carried out by the Islamic terrorist group - Al Qaeda, and involved 19 hijackers. Motives for the attack was America's support for attacks against Muslims and that bin Laden believed that America was just in Islam to rule and dictate. The tragedy claimed the lives of approximately 3000 people, including the lives of 340 firefighters who sacrificed their lives to attempt to save that of others.
